As you know, I was diagnosed with Rheumatic Heart Disease. Before I left Philippines, my cardiologist recommended that I should undergo prophylaxis for no less than 15 years. Ergo, I have to have my glutes administered with painful penicillin injections every 3 weeks, that is 17 times per year, or 260 shots for the entirety of it.
When I arrived here, I asked the pharmacist if they have any sort of the penicillin powder I needed. They said that all antibiotics in Malaysia require doctor’s prescription. And so, I waited for my ING Healthcare card so they will have to pay for the consultation fee. I visited a nearby clinic here, during our conversation, he sounded stupid.
Though he asked me to go to a hospital because they do not have this, he started babbling about the drug:
- It was an unsafe drug because it might cause anaphylaxis shock.
True, but it is not unsafe! It is regulated and approved!
- They use safe antibiotics with no side effects like erythromycin and ampicillin.
Please explain its contraindications especially when I took one before.
- I needed to show documents that I was diagnosed with RHD.
Yeah this was my fault. But he didn’t know what RHD was! I guess he just got used into clinical practice of General Medicine.
- And he kept on pointing at his veins when he was pertaining to penicillin injections.
FYI, doctor, it is administered intramuscular. You will die, if you do it through veins. I guess I know where ‘unsafe drug’ came from.
- And he keeps on reading his MIMS Malaysia book.
Aren’t you really familiar with how penicillin works?
All in all, the charge for the consultation was just 10 RM, paid against my healthcare insurance. So I asked my sister to scan all the hospital documents and I need to go to a nearby hospital soon.
Please allow 10 minutes of your time and analyze.
It is very rare to see good Filipino shows. Worse, when you watch nightly television shows during primetime with a flashing ‘Parental Guidance’ watermarked on the upper left of the screen.
Willie Revillame is very charismatic to the commoners because he gives money. This attracts more advertisers to invest on his shows and eloquence. I have never been a fan of him since his humor is next to empty slapstick that nearly crosses the borderline of a typical gay-hosted Filipino stand up comedy skit. His program uses real emotions and put moral to give it a holistic meaning to its viewers.
But when I watched this 6-year old child dancing like a go-go male dancer in the tune of Snoop Dogg, it becomes worse. His opinions that as if the child does the dancing to earn a living for his family. The DJ kept on repeating the song and due to the child’s innocence, he just kept on dancing not knowing that what he was doing was wrong.
I could not judge how the child felt when he was dancing. But it merely depicts an epitome of like feeding your ownself with a handful of peanuts where you know that histamine may cause anaphylaxis shock.
Yes, Willie gave him 10 thousand pesos for the short entertainment Jan-Jan showed to the crowd. But can you really read between the lines? A live show where other children are watching, unguided by their parents or guardians, watching how Jan-Jan performs go-go; A live show that does not respect the sensitivity of innocence of young children doing go-go; And a live show that should set good moral to its viewers.

When I started this blog way back 2003, I didn’t realize I had to do some database maintenance until I hosted it on my own (it was hosted on Livejournal before – http://foxyreign.livejournal.com). As the days passed, more recent posts were added, including the java scripts loaded, overflowing CSS and PHP, I noticed that it is starting to slow down. Worst, it took 15 seconds to load on a T1 connection. I had to do something!
I reverted to my old plan of using Thesis. Most WordPress designer use this because it is SEO friendly and you could do tons of stuff with it. You have to pay a nominal amount for one usage. Known to existence that I am very resourceful, I found ways how to tweak with it for free.
This was loaded yesterday but I messed up with the PHP coding. Gawd, I had to code it manually! The new design features the following:
- More advertisements (for very obvious reasons)
- Loads a lot faster, between 3 to 12 seconds (depending on the jscripts)
- The teasers have image previews
- Larger font for easier reading
- Content Headers are in text, not in script format
- Composes of a content column and two side bars at the right
- Less rainbow-like colors, shifted more into minimalistic pink accents
- Compatible to WP 3.1
Text NERD then send to 2366. Hahaha.
