New Zealand – Rescue officials say that it is very unsafe to enter the collapsed mine at Pike River Coal. They have not disclosed timeframe on when they can perform the rescue operation. This includes saving 29 miners trapped underground in a New Zealand Mine.

A few tests reveleated that may be a fire is burning underground releasing poisonous carbon monoxide gas. These miners are thought to be only about 150 meters from the land surface but they are around 3 kilometers away from the entrance of the mine tunnel.

The operation to rescue 29 miners, including two Britons, trapped underground in a New Zealand mine remains on hold amid continued safety fears.

Amidst the Chile incident, this incident calls for another prayer help for our fellow Kiwis.
